I craved a cigarette after meals, after a drink, when I socialized, when I felt happy, when I talked on the phone and at many of other times. I thought that I enjoyed cigarettes and that they gave me pleasure, but the only pleasure they really gave me, was the temporary pleasure of relief from the cravings, which cigarettes gave me in the first place, does that make sense?
Because I know exactly how smokers feel, I use special techniques to change your thought process in relation to smoking and this helps to eliminate or reduce your cravings for a cigarette.
Maybe you think that smoking reduces your stress levels however smoking raises your stress levels, the only thing being calmed is the craving. Your actual stress levels are kept higher than they need to be. Hypnotherapy is not only effective at helping you to quit smoking, it is also a very enjoyable, relaxing therapy.

Hypnosis Stop Smoking CD - this is a CD that I have recorded - and because it refers back to the sessions that you had with me, it will strengthen and reinforce the sessions every time that you listen to it. The first part of the CD can be listened to for relaxation and to lower stress levels.

Self-hypnosis can be used to reinforce your hypnotherapy sessions and also to deal with many other issues, it is a technique that you can use for life. You can use self-hypnosis to overcome problems such as anxiety, confidence, phobias, pain and motivation; in fact you can use self-hypnosis to deal with most problems.

A number of my clients have asked me what the difference is between a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist. In answer to that question, a hypnotist is a person who practices hypnosis (often in stage shows). A hypnotherapist is a person who practices hypnosis for therapeutic purposes, thereby named hypnotherapy.
Because I have been practicing Hypnotherapy and Counselling in Dandenong and Hallam for over twenty years, most of my clients are local people and they are often referred by previous clients. I also receive referrals from local doctors and other health professionals. Sometimes I will see different members of the same family often spanning a number of years.
