Stop Smoking Hypnosis Although I specialize in Stop Smoking Hypnosis, I work with a variety of issues. I suppose about 25% of my work is quit smoking and the other 75% would cover weight loss, phobias, anxiety and panic and various habits and disorders. My consulting rooms are located in Hallam, just outside Dandenong about a 30 to 40 minutes drive from Melbourne. Because you are on this site, you may be thinking of stop smoking hypnosis or weight loss hypnosis or possibly you want to deal with anxiety and panic issues, maybe you want to overcome a phobia or you need help with a relationship or a personal problem. The other pages on this website will cover weight loss, anxiety, panic/stress, phobias, habits and disorders and other problems that I treat. Instead of asking you "do you want to stop smoking"? I would like to ask "why do you want to smoke"? Imagine how good it would feel to wake up each day feeling refreshed and full of energy. Imagine your peace of mind knowing that you are giving yourself the greatest gift of all - the best possible chance of a healthy life. No more having to carry that pack of cigarettes around. No more having to worry about the dreadful diseases and disorders that are caused by smoking. Being completely free from the craving. Peace of mind is wonderful thing. Think of your body starting to repair and recover from the effects of cigarettes and this happens fairly quickley. I have listed below the benefits of quitting cigarettes. Blood pressure and heart rate return to normal (20 minutes after your last cigarette) Nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in the blood reduce by half (8 hours) Oxygen levels return to normal (24 hours) Carbon monoxide eliminated from your body (48 hours) Lungs start to clear out mucus and other debris (48 hours) Nicotine completely eliminated from your body (72 hours) Ability to taste and smell greatly improved (72 hours) Energy levels increased and bronchial tubes starting to relax (2 to 12 weeks) Circulation improved (3 to 9 months) Coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will continue to improve (5 weeks) Risk of heart attack and cancer falls dramatically (up to 10 years)
I am going to ask you a question - do you really enjoy cigarettes? Do you think that the taste is really so wonderful? Or do you just smoke because you feel like one, just to stop the craving? I do know how you feel because I am an ex smoker. I gave up cigarettes over 30 years ago and I gave up with hypnotherapy. Unfortunately, in those days we did not know the dangers of smoking. If only I knew then, what I know now, I would never have smoked in the first place. I was very addicted. I craved a cigarette after meals, after a drink, when I socialized, when I felt happy, when I talked on the phone and at lots of other times. I thought I liked cigarettes and they gave me pleasure, but the only pleasure they gave me, was the temporary pleasure of relief from the cravings, which cigarettes gave me in the first place, does that make sense? Difficulty in quitting is not a lack of willpower or a weakness. The difficulty with quitting is because the brain produces powerful chemicals when you smoke and smoking alters the neural network of the brain. Some people quit for a few days and then start again; this is because they have not given enough time for their body to alter the pattern of the neural network. Maybe you think that smoking reduces your stress levels however smoking raises your stress levels, the only thing being calmed is the craving.Your actual stress levels are kept higher than they need to be. Hypnotherapy is not only effective at helping you to quit smoking, it is also a very enjoyable therapy. Hypnotherapy gives you the strength and motivation to quit cigarettes, you will be so focused on the future, on health and how much energy you are going to have that smoking will seem a very poor choice indeed and after all smoking is a choice. There is a very high success rate with stop smoking hypnosis, providing of course that you really want to stop. Hypnotherapy is not something that you try; it is something that you do. To strengthen and reinforce your hypnotherapy session I will give you a Support Package and this consists of: Telephone Counselling - if needed to deal with any stressful situations that may arise in your life following your hypnotherapy session. Hypnosis Stop Smoking CD - this is a CD that I have recorded - and because it refers back to the session that you had with me, it will strengthen and reinforce the session every time that you listen to it. The first part of the CD can be listened to for relaxation and to lower stress levels. Self Hypnosis Instructions - verbal and written - Self-hypnosis can be used to reinforce your hypnotherapy session and also to deal with many other issues, it is a technique that you can use for life. You can use self-hypnosis to overcome problems such as anxiety, confidence, phobias, pain and motivation; in fact you can use self-hypnosis to deal with most problems. Please phone me if you wish to discuss your particular problem or if you need to know if hypnotherapy or counselling could help you. I will be very willing to spend the time with you to discuss your problem. If you phone and I am with a client please leave your name and number and I will return your call in a very short time, I promise you that your call will be returned and you will not have to wait until the next day. If for any reason you require to visit a hypnotherapist in another area of Melbourne please give me a call and I will be able to refer you to a qualified hypnotherapist. A number of my clients have asked me what the difference is between a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist. In answer to that question, a hypnotist is a person who practices hypnosis (often in stage shows). A hypnotherapist is a person who practices hypnosis for therapeutic purposes, thereby named hypnotherapy. Because I have been practicing Hypnotherapy and Counselling in Hallam, Dandenong and other South East areas of Melbourne for a number of years, many of my clients are local people and they are often referred by previous clients. I also receive referrals from local doctors and other health professionals. Sometimes I will see different members of the same family often spanning a number of years. I am dedicated to helping you to make the changes that you want to make. You will find the therapy very relaxing and enjoyable. Listed below are some of the issues that I work with: - Addictions
